But at the time of its 1972 release, Foster was simply the driving force behind this overlooked, soul-pop combo. Skylark managed just one U.S. hit, the gorgeous, melancholy title track of this collection, but songs like "Writing's on the Wall" and "Suites for My Lady" have the same sultry late-night vibe.
