I added 30 drops to about 4 oz of water and it wasn't that bad. Not sure if they are just trying to warn you of the potential or if some taste it and it is very bitter. I didn't find it all that bad, and I think I have pretty good taste receptors. It's not bad to take and if the bitter is too much just chug it down in one big gulp. The first time I took it I noticed a more cleansing effect on my system, and it reacted mildly to me. Not bad at all I would recommend it.
