Does not tolerate humidity?
This particular product, the 800F Tempilstik, #28051, appears to be sensitive to humidity. After being stored in a drawer in the garage for about 4 weeks, the 1/2-inch portion of the stick that was out of the holder turned to dust. The remainder of the stick inside the aluminum holder is unaffected.I have two other Tempilstiks, 950 F and 1250F, that were in the same drawer, which are not degraded by the humidity. From now on I am keeping these temperature sticks in a sealed plastic bag for protection.
