Fit perfect (old pac fab century)
Perfect replacement! I have an older pac fab “Century” 2 hp motor I believe pentair is now making the same model. The suction side doesnt have a gasket and it’s not threaded it seals flat against the strainer basket with four brass bolts. You have to reuse the large circle gasket mounting to the motor also reuse the topside gasket with water flow to filter. You also have to Make sure to remove the old reducer that the impeller mounts up to inside the new front cover. Sorry no pictures;(

Great product
Great product, perfect fit, good price, quick delivery. Be sure and check the images closely to make sure you are ordering the correct product. There are 2 that the only difference is whether the inlet from the strainer pot is threaded or not. This one is not threaded, which is what I needed, but some listings have the product numbers incorrect and you might not get the correct one if you don’t verify the images.

Tight, No Leak Fit, good fit in 2.5 HP Spa Jet Pump
I am not sure of the original PacFab Challenger model of my pump assembly because the ID tags have long ago faded away - so it was a guess if this part would fit my 2.5 HP spa jet. I thought I was getting a slip fit piping exit for the housing when I ordered but it arrived with a 2" threaded pipe fitting. Not a problem as I just used a threaded pipe which I prefer to use. Unlike the broken housing I replaced - this housing had a smaller diameter entry hole from the strainer basket (maybe 3/8 " smaller diameter). So while the exit pipe from the housing was the same diameter as the original, I was concerned the smaller entry hole would be an issue in pump performance. I was happy to find that the new housing appears identical in performance to the original.Some reviews reported that the

Works well
Had a crack in the shoulder of my old housing and it was impossible to fix. I tried calling 3 pool companies to come out but they had no interest in making this repair, what they wanted to do was to replace the entire motor unit and basket so I had no option but to try it myself.This unit fits perfectly and seems to be good quality. Plumbing it in was a little tricky but take your time and it should be no problem for someone with average handyman skills. I used new pvc pipe to hook into the filter tank (white) it was easier for me to do that rather than connect to the old. The 2inch pvc parts elbows and 6 ft pipe cost $30 at the local hardware store. Anyway I think I saved at least $500 in installation.PS the old unit had a slip outlet and the one I bought had a thread but it makes no
