If you’ve only seen the concert films and want to hear what all the fuss is about, Supernigger can whet your appetite. Anyone who’s more than a casual fan, however, will likely be turned off by this CD’s sloppy editing and jerky transitions from bit to bit. Supernigger still packs a few laughs–particularly if you’ve never heard Pryor before–but it will appeal most to rabid completists looking to round out their catalog and budding Pryor-philes primed for an overview. –Michael Gerber
