Descripción
Since the late ’70s Yankee Ingenuity has run its own Monday night contradance in Concord, Massachusetts, drawing dancers from all over New England. In the process, they’ve became one of the most accomplished ensembles on the dance scene, playing traditional and newly-written tunes on old and new instruments (on occasion, even including electronics). The album is primarily instrumental — dance calls are included on one cut. With Peter Barnes, piano, synthesizer, guitar, whistle, harmonica, shouts; Ruthie Dornfield and Mary Lea, fiddles; Cal Howard, bass; Jack O’Connor, tenor banjo, mandolin, octave mandolin; Tony Parkes, piano, square dance calls.
