Dragon Christmas Tree Topper Ornament of Hand Blown Glass

Hand blown glass dragon Christmas tree topper is a stunning collectible crystal serpent figurine, made for your tree top. Disneyland is where artist Kevin Prochaska first learned his trade more than 35 years ago. Imagine this gorgeous dragon Christmas ornament sitting atop your tree, shimmering with all the colors of 24k gold, its cut crystal eyes glowing in fiery fuchsia red. Beautifully detailed, this dragon seems to magically fly on outstretched wings. Weight being of primary concern, I choose to make the ornament of lightweight borosilicate crystal which has virtually the same reflective qualities of uncut full lead crystal at a fraction of the weight. After making the figurine entirely by hand, I enhance the details with 24k gold. The brilliant rainbow of colors is created when pure gold is applied to the glass while it is still molten. Total height is 12 inches. Dragon is 9 inches long and 6.5 inches tall. Sturdy glass tube on which dragon is mounted is 5.5 inches long. This is a perfect gift for the dragon collector who has everything. A beautiful information card trimmed with gold foil is included with your purchase. Christmas tree ornaments are one of my specialties and during the Reagan administration I was asked to create an assortment of one-of-a-kind ornaments that represented the state of California at the White House. Mounting Instructions: To insure the integrity of the branch upon which this tree topper will sit, I recommend attaching a sturdy wooden dowel, available at any hardware store, to the center branch of the tree, and placing the dragon over the dowel as pictured.
