Mount the carrier part of the French Cleat to the wall with the help of the mounting holes. Fix your shelf to the wall so that it is on top of the French Cleat. Make sure that the carrier part is placed correctly. CLEANING & MAINTENANCE: Clean with soapy water and soft clothes. Do not use abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals. Spray glossy clear lacquer once a year to your mantel shelf to preserve the same color tone for more time.
