ASP OC (pepper spray) Defenders were originally designed for police officers and security guards, for plain clothes or off duty use. Unlike generic, bulky spray cans, Defenders are precision-manufactured instruments, designed to disperse an atomized, cone-shaped “shield” of police grade pepper spray. They incorporate a proprietary housing and valve system, replaceable aerosol inserts, a patented dispensing mechanism, wrap-around safety, and other exclusive features. The unit is O-ring sealed for safety. Operating the Defender requires 2 distinct operations to prevent accidental discharge: release the safety and press the solid brass actuator, and the Defender sends a cloud of potent irritant 3 to 5 feet away, giving you time to get away from trouble. Each insert provides 6 half-second bursts. A Heat (OC) insert is included with your purchase, Test (inert) practice inserts are available separately.
