Standard Model 8881 from the Dong Xue Hua Collection is a basic model meant for aspiring students who wish to have a good tone for standard solo performances and ensemble musicians. It is easily one of the most popular models in mainland China for students without budget, but still would be a good model for most major performances. Using properly dried bamboo, coupled with the decades of experience Lin Yin and her founder Dong Xue Hua has with making flutes for top level musicians, it is a high sought after model for many musicians. The lowest of 3 grades of dizi in regular production, the 8881 has a simple, elegant tone, and near perfect intonation for musicians.
