To ensure the water pump operates properly, the following steps must be taken: Submersion Requirement‌: The pump must be fully submerged in water. Debris Clearance: If the impeller is jammed by debris (e.g., fish waste, algae, gravel), causing the pump to stop working, disassemble the housing to remove obstructions and check pipe connections for kinks or blockages to resume normal operation. ‌Air Removal‌: For the first startup or after water replacement, gently shake the pump to expel any trapped air inside; air trapped in the pipe or the pump may cause "gurgling" noises and the pump failure due to airlock.
