The space below the sink is very narrow and you may not be able to turn the lock nut properly with a regular side spanner. The square tightening tool is 7.9 inches (200 mm) long and allows for the installation and removal of the lock nut even in less space (Accessories Hex Spanner) When used in combination with the included hex spanner, it can be tightened and removed by using the tool alone. It can also be used as a 0.47 inch (12 mm) spanner on opposite side, and can be used when turning zarbo or socket (Size) Opposite side of the hexagonal nut tightening tool: Approx. 1.8 inches (46 mm), Opposite side of the included hex spanner: Approx. 0.5 inches (12 mm) Country of Origin: Japan Material: Alloy steel
