It makes a unique gift for a friend, executive, history buff, or family member. A story of U.S. history is preserved in this handmade treasure. History of the Wood: This tulip poplar tree grew off the southwest corner of Thomas Jefferson’s home, Monticello. It was some 200 years old and one of the world’s great trees. The planting was noted in Jefferson’s Weather Memorandum book in 1807. Specifications: Long handle size (4.25″ length), tulip poplar wood, Edwin Jagger shaving assembly.
